Lantern, What all are you going to be $$$$$ responsible for with your lease? and I'm sure you catch a break on fuel, right? Just wanting to know. It may be something I may think about down the road.
-
Everything you can think of.
Fuel yeah I get a surcharge and a discount at the pump. So I'm not coming out of pocket on the entire fuel cost.
I also pay my own taxes which they have a service they use that they sign you up for.Pirate Trucker XOXX Thanks this. -
I'm sure you have a solid plan for everything, and if you tuck some money in a(Business) account for all the cost of doing business you'll be fine, I have faith that you will not have any problems. So just be smart.....and you will always be smart, if you can understand that one....Best of Luck.

I really dislike sitting waiting for a trainer. Finished up RDTC on 09-28 and went to securment training in gary that weekend. Have been sitting home since than waiting for a trainer. This bites, supposedly I finaly have a trainer assigned to me. But have yet to hear when ill be picked up or if I am driving to Marshfield to meet them. Earlier in the week they briefly considered flying me to meet a trainer, Now its no we are trying to get one to Mn to meet you or worst case drive to Marshfield.
Sucks due to iam getting broker and broker by the day. Meh I just hope to hear something tomorrow.Pirate Trucker XOXX Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear that! Its crazy that people are having so many issues lately with getting a trainer. Stick with it, they will work it out for you. We all know how bad waiting sucks but it is apart of the job as well.
Hurry up and wait. -
I will be training again, however they want me to wait 30 days before I can start again, which is weird considering the trainer shortage.
-
That is weird. Idk how you do it Treefork.. I couldn't handle riding shotgun, I know Roehl has a "selective" process which I'm sure we all know... Yeah, but I couldn't handle being shotgun watching something unfold quickly and only thing you can do is pop those brakes.
-
Everyone has to start somewhere lantern... Lol. I don't think I could be a trainer either. I would go crazy someone if they almost killed us. Got a call from Jennifer in safety who wants a letter from my Dr. Saying the meds I take are ok and won't cause me to turn my truck into a weapons of mass destruction.
Kim my recruiter said it wasn't anything to worry about and that its pretty standard for Roehl. I hope so.

Hey Kardolmer, Welcome to the Roehl thread, I started this thread for the very problem that you are having right now, I know that its hard to sit and not get any updates on when you will get out on the road, but it will work out in the long run. I had to go with a nother company because I had the feeling that getting a trainer quickly just wasn't in the cards, don't get me wrong, I wish I could be working for Roehl, but my bank account would not allow me the time to wait for Roehl and the lack of trainer to starve me out, I'm not talking bad about Roehl at all, It's just the facts, Roehl by far is who I would recomend to anyone starting out, so try to get by on a tight budget until you get your trainer, so hang in there, It will be worth it.
