    Hi y'all....

I have a question and I hope I posted this in the right thread.

My previous company exxagerated a little bit on my DAC ( which they're known for ) and right now I have 3 things on my DAC. Already contacted Hireright but it seems they can't do a whole lot.
Are there trucking companies I can still work for in the Georgia area or is my career over ?

    All the help is appreciated.....

hireright got penalized by the govt for false accusations and not fixing disputed information.

any company that doesn't use dac.

They are regulated under Fed fair credit protection laws, same as a credit card
So are the reporting agencies or and employers selling them the data, and yes you are reading this correctly, selling yours and mine background for a buck or two per employee.

So, as in a normal credit file, you have the right to dispute any or all info as shown, down to your middle initial. I'd dispute it, the 30 day rule applies to this outfit,no exceptions,

It also appears HR(Dac) is not being used as the background agency of choice so extensively as before, so just shop around like the previous responder mentioned.

Also not all Trucking Companies buy the whole sheet on prospective employee, often times they'll just pay for the criminal and DMV, no employment record.(quoted this by safety dept some years back) just ask before applying

Back in the day, alll this DAC business was supposedly set up to keep the worst of the drivers of the streets, accidents...etc. never was intended to be used as a personal vendetta program with limited recourse, go figure...

I'm guessing it would depend exactly what it is on your DAC report that's causing problems. What are the issues showing up there? As the other driver said you have the right to dispute it.

The question is what is on your dac. If you have had expensive accidents, abandonment, failed drug test, and bad moving violations. I'd probably say your career is over. If what is on there is true you can't get them to erase it. Seems to me since you didn't mention those other things you are admitting guilt. So unless you work for the scum bags companies. I'd lay low for 3 or 4 years and then try to come back. The scum bag companies will probably only get you in more trouble so I'd stay away from them. Good luck in whatever you get into next.

Many places with just a hand full of trucks, the mom and pop type places rarely use Hire Right (DAC)
And many of them are better to work for anyway.

Interested in knowing what is on your report.....And why you did not post it so you could get better advice!

This is what's on my dac : flat tire ( which was actually a blow-out but got listed as accident ), not maintaining one lane ( pickup truck got damaged but case got dismissed in court ) and last one is that I was accused for damaging a dockdoor.

I contacted hireright and opened a dispute case with the company, but they responded and nothing happened. It's all still on my dac. If anyone know any of these small companies who won't do hireright, please let me know which ones. I miss being on the road......thanks !

Those don't seem like serious offenses. Have you tried companies who are not based out of Georgia? Also sometimes the company puts the accidents on your record. So did all those happen within 3 years? Have you tried heartland, or Benny whitehead. K&B transport. They might use DAC, but if those things are spread out you might can get on.

Wow. A blowout listed as an accident can't be right, can it (other drivers please chime in here)? That doesn't sound right UNLESS you wrecked or hit something during/after the blowout. Sounds to me that if there is no damage or wreck or accident DAC couldn't possibly list a flat, even if it IS a blowout, as an accident and IF they did, I'd consult an attorney and challenge it though the attorney.
