    Congrats.

What kind of experience do you have, if you dont mind me asking? also did you go out there to apply, or just over fax/email?

To those who have applied via fax or email, how long did it take to receive a response?.. Im not sure if calling and following up will benefit me in this type of industry.

Im dying to get out there, but the idea of just going out there and applying in person while I have zero experience under my belt doesn't seem like a smart idea.

Anyone else who had zero to little experience just "go out" there and apply in person?

i have AZ since 2007 but no experience, they came to ontario in sept for interviews and i was one of the lucky ones they picked. the pay is not that great but i'm thinking because no experience. they give some money for relocation and paid accommodation during training

applying in person lets them evaluate you personally. is he too ####y, over confident, does he have a know it all attitude, or is this guy going to be a good team player. if you don't have experience, good personality is a out all you can really show, since that really can't be seen on a resume, the only way they can see it is if you show up in person.

True that. Well If I dont hear back from any of the companies after another week, Im just going to go out there. A friend of mine said Nisku would be a good place to go to hit up multiple companies.

any other suggestions? or pretty much Im going to be going town to town. Just wondering if I should focus my efforts directly in Ft Mac?, or the surrounding areas of Edmonton is enough.

Grande prairie has lots of work and a lot of companies, but just can't stand that place for some reason.

They said that about Red Deer too. Got there and most had a hiring freeze going. Canyon had a sign out in Red Deer though. I got lucky and got picked up by Baker. No experience but kicked ### in my interview!!
