    Hello from TX,

    I'm retired early. Mom wants a new house . So my son wants to go as a leased team with swift . Swift said ok , Your son will just hire u . Passed CDL written tests , got permit . time passed , found out permit is still good ( 2016 ) , but because of time passing when I take driving test !Will have to pass written again ... no problem ?------ Can I drive legal as long as a class A is in cab with me , in all 48 ..........................................................

    Most state permits are only good for six months. I'd recheck that if I were you.

    You would need to check with the state the permit is issued in to check for restrictions.

    You can only run in the state you are licensed(permitted) in. Intrastate. Not interstate unless they changed it. Also the guy would have to be logging on duty not driving while you are in the driver seat.
