holiday season work ?

    I used to work for a company that did some dedicated stuff starting about this time of year until a week or two after Christmas for a large chain store. drop and hook van stuff. Anyone know of anything like that an owner/op could get on worth doing ? I wouldn't mind parking my stepdeck for a couple months and doing something different if there was a decent opportunity.

    U.S. Mail contractors, like MCA are usually hiring this time of the year for the Christmas rush.

    Get hooked up with a Landstar agent and pull UPS doubles. Doesn't pay so great from what I have seen that is not to be taken as a blanket statement that it doesn't ever. Some LS agents have work like that at odd times of the year also. And not just UPS. Have seen BCO's pulling Estes doubles. Spot 3PL stuff.
