Very true 9 axles and up they are way off base and could never do it, but they can put a hurt locker on the smaller ones.

Why would anyone drive for these cheap fools? It just doesnt make sense to drive flatbed for the cheap pay they are offering drivers

When I started driving I worked cheap because the company I worked for is the only one that would hire me with little to no experience. I was called stupid by some drivers, but when I asked, OK will your company hire me? The answer was , "are you crazy, you don't have any experience."

I am not sure what the picture is about.

A swift truck pulling a flatbed? they have been running a flatbed division for years, nothing really new.
They used to run car haulers too.

what exactly is cheap? i'm pretty sure their flatbed division don't get paid the same as their van, just like how Werner have different rates for their different divisions. And actually if you stay with one of the so called cheap companies long enough you can get a really decent rate out of them.. I know after five years knight would top a driver out at almost $0.40 a mile for long miles.

but i guess with your experience skill and longevity you're prolly makin $2.40 a mile on all miles as a company driver. I can't wait until i have it like that. Then i can sit on my butt cheeks and spit on drivers who are just trying to make a living.

.40 a mile for short hauls isn't a good rate, wake up.

Eat the crap, get your experience and get a decent job that pays good and treats you decent...

On a side note, man that's a gravy load, I never get nice and easy loads like that!
