cheap tires

Last set of 8 I bought was 1350 with mounting, the place will take back a blowout up to 30% tread left, the retreader they use x-rays each casing before they cap. The tire shop has only had one come apart in 6 years.

 

I take my steers to Bandag and have them capped. I have had really good luck with them.

 

I quit with the caps after blowing 3 on our tanker. Buying stainless steel replacement parts gets expensive. The headaches from pieces of the tire belts piercing the wiring harnesses sucked too.
Only put them on the trucks that rarely leave the farm and have tough fenders.

I don't think I could ever bring myself to putting one on a steer.

When did that change? When I went for my last TIA cert a couple year ago it was still that way.

Nope you're wrong fmcsr 393.75 subpart d states bus only and if you read the whole regulation it never states that it is illegal to run on a commercial truck.
