I am interested in working for a hotshot company that pays by the load. What percentage of the load is average?

Thank you. That is what most places have been offering, between 25 to 30 percent. I just wondered if that was normal considering most jobs around here are pretty local so if they get $3 per mile on 100 mile average jobs, I don't see how that will pay off. Maybe I should look for jobs paying by the hour. Are there any like that from your experience?
