I'm about to board a bus to be a new driver for don in Colorado. Is this company a sham or decent to work for I have orientation Monday then routed home to get my things?

It's not a JBS problem it's a custom's problem. They can't release load until approved by U.S Customs on those export loads. They work real slow on the weekends. I've had that happen to me a few times on loads out of Cargil in Dodge City going down to Laporte to be exported.

Read the last 20 to 10 pages of this thread and you can pretty much see what you will be dealing with.

There has been some issues in the last few months that are getting corrected. But all in all I think it is a good company to work for. It is what YOU make if it in the end. If you have any questions on how things work then feel free to ask. The first month or so might seem confusing but we all here will answer what we can and are willing to help each other out. Be safe on the bus ride over to Colorado. Also welcome to FREholycow Thanks this.

Thanks man. I sure will that gives me a little better feeling than just listening to management. I was almost backing out because of all the negative post. Lol. But this trucking. Everyone is their own trucker. Lol

They are in contact with them supposedly. Assures me I will get detention. Nobody will tell me anything about why its taking so long though. -
i believe the detention issues were resolved when daniel sent bill an e-mail on that problem.i dont think he was aware of this issue untill he received the message.my understanding is that he wants happy drivers.so if u have any problems just let him know and he will look into it and make it rite.
platinum Thanks this. -
some people love it here and some dont; what ever u want to make of it; the way i look at it if u run ur truck like u are an owner op and just make ur own calls u will avoid a lot of frustrstions.they seem to be happy when u make ur own decisions and just make sure u r on time.Last edited: Oct 14, 2012
