Can you request a load going to somewhere else besides your home of record? Or can you just take your days off wherever the loads take you?

Most companies I know of will allow you to make requests. Just keep in mind it might not be a direct route or on the date requested.
-
Yes, you can, either way is ok.
-
What you want, and what you get may be entirely different. Most companies will try [ to varying degrees ] and get you where you want to be for some off days, and get you there when you want to be, but will make no promises. Moving their freight comes first.
-
Since neither one of you know anything about Prime, how about you let us answer?
Yes, you can request hometime in locations other than your home of record. Same procedure either way, and yes, you will get it. It's easier for your dispatcher if you give them a range of dates rather than one specific day. It does depend on the availability of freight - which means it may move things around a day or so. One of the folks who posted on here frequently visited his folks in California, brother in Washington state, and took hometime in Richmond VA without any problems. -
Awesome,thanks for the response IP.
-
Also,I forgot to ask the recruiter if company drivers can have pets.I read here somewhere that Prime only allows L/O to have pets.I'm leaving next week for orientation.
-
Nope, Company drivers = no pets
-
Eh? when did they change that?
-
Company drivers can have pets. I have one on my truck. Just gotta pay the deposit
