Anyone ever remove the top bunk out from the sleeper for any reason?

The prior owner of my truck removed the bunk.
    :biggrin_25524:
I asked him about it and was told this:

"Well it was always in the way, so when I spoke to my daddy, he done told me to jus get rid of it.
So, one night I done throwd it out da window..."

I finally found a take off sleeper but not sure what might be needed to remove the bunk from the take-off
and re-install it into my sleeper. It takes a 31x79 mattress so I cant see it coming out the exit door....

Fold the matress in half so it is 15"x79". As far as the other bunk pieces the plywood bottom will be the hardest to get in. Maybe saw it in half also if it isnt already.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

do you have the doors in the bunk? if you do it is easy as long as the brackets are still there, plug on drivers side for lites couple of screws on each side and remove or install through sleeper doors. not that hard.

    Hanadarko Thanks this.
