1.2 mil here and counting. A few small tickets here and there with no accidents, technically. Had an incident coming over Flagstaff around 2 am where a 4 wheeler that was going way too fast passed by me on the left doing 360's and ended up right in front of me facing sideways, in the snow. No chains, snow coming down pretty good, doing about 30-40 mph. Let's just say, good thing it was a Saturn (plastic door), and good thing I had a big Texas style bumper on the W900 (big flat wall). I must of pushed that car sideways for a couple hundred feet! I wasn't about to slam on my brakes and have something go really wrong. The only damage was the side mirror broke off. Oh, and the dirty underwear of the driver (19 year old girl) and the passenger (18 year old boy).Never got reported because she didn't want daddy to find out she was driving in the snow like an idiot! In the middle of the night with her boyfriend. Plus the mirror was the only damage.
How many Million Milers do we have?

You did great. Not many can say no tickets, no accidents in any amount of time. I'm old school so I have a few tickets. none in the last 10 years. Back in the day we just outlawed because it was fun and we enjoyed it. We were proud of the miles we put on in a week. I was hit twice in my 25 years of driving and I hit a yellow pole in shippers yard trying to get going. All because I was in a hurry, stupid huh. Never get in hurry.

something around 5.5 million give or take. minor accidents a few, no major, a few speed over the years. its really hard to keep track, would like to say its my outstanding driving skills, but that would be a lie. i was just #### lucky. jon
Dave 1960 and kerosene jockey Thank this. -
I guess you can say that staying clear of accidents can be attributed to a bit of luck. Perhaps, but it takes skill, patience and anticipation to avoid any catastrophic
incidents. Especially now that we have those folks policing us with CSA scores and rules. We all know that those rules have to change and how can they blame us for
an accident that was never our fault. Only the Govt could come up with those stupid rules and ideas. Everyday is a new day and a day to display our skills as drivers.
WE are the best out there. Let's keep reminding ourselves of that ! ! Even if DOT don't want to acknowledge this fact. Being a million miler is even more remarkable today.
Good luck. -
i can see by your years as a trucker you should b up there at about 1 an 1/2 million or more. am retired now but several of the things you mentioned helped me with my decision. if the dot dont quit thinking up more stupid rules, nobody will b qualified to drive. drive a school bus part time now but they have the same rules but hours of service is not talked about. they have a lot of classes and schooling to deal with. got to run b careful out there jon
