As you can see we are still fairly new to the company and to the business itself, but things are still going very well to say the least. Since we got back from our home time we've run 6,816 miles, 5,214 miles, and we're up to 5,500 so far this week after we deliver at 0600 tomorrow. We already have a pre-assignment to pick up right after we deliver that takes us another 1,400 miles. The wheels are turning and we're making good money every week...

Problem with us express they dont pay you a flat rate for all your miles ,its a sliding pay scale that like saying you go to work at a factory your making 10.00 a hour for the first 4 hrs after that we gonna pay you 4.50 a hr whats up with that. Have you every figured how much money you cud of made if you got paid say .39 a mile as opposed to .31 for some and .36 for others . .01mi equals 1000.00 for every 100,000 you drive . I always wondered how much us express is really shanking there drivers for. I like to see every driver succeed in there trucking careers. And honestly its a shame companies do the sliding pay scale ,says alot of the company and how they feel about there drivers. Companies like the ATA represent companies not the drivers there nobody with a speaking voice for the drivers in congress. So companies like US Express will continue to screw you. good luck

There making a killing off of you ,of course they want the best for you there success depends on you staying in the truck. I us to train drivers i felt sorry for them i was taking 1/3 of there check home to my family . After 4 yrs my nerves couldnt take it any more i had to go solo. Trust me he probably get a bonus when its all said and done ,any chance he might share that with you . Wishful thinking but its not gonna happen. After 22 yrs trucking i have learned and it took awhile but the only way you get a raise in trucking is to train drivers or go and buy your own truck. When i started driving 22 yrs ago i was making .31 a mile . The trucking industry still pays .31 a mile out of school most places. It took me 18 yrs to go from .31 to .40mi.
The more money you make per mile the less miles your gonna get until you quit. Because theres always a student driver coming out of school willing to drive the truck for alot cheaper than there paying you ,so eventually your gone its called a control turnover and companies dont have a problem using it it keeps payroll down and revenues up. So enjoy that sliding pay scale , because in the end your wasting your time and you could be making more .
It only takes 1 accident to ruin your career so is it really worth it . Take what you can and run trust me there not gonna miss ya -
No sliding pay scale for team drivers, we get .48cpm every load...
