Sorry for the lack of updates!
Orientation is done, and MAN did those 3.5 weeks fly by!
Sadly, I haven't heard from a trainer yet. But I put down that I want to leave on the 15th, so I'm getting worried just yet.
All 12 of us made it out alive, and about half of the class is already out with a trainer. I can't express how quickly this whole thing has gone by. Now, I'm very excited to get out with my trainer.
Pushing for Cartersville!

Finally heard from a trainer last week. He had just finished up with his last previous student, and didnt leave me hanging for a minute. But i have hit yet another snag: its been just over a week since the day i requested to leave with a trainer, and dispatch has been unable to route him my way to pick me up. And with him taking hometime in a couple of days, i looks like it will be another week before i can expect another call.
By no means am i upset or angry with Millis, my trainer, dispatch, or anyone else. I am, however, curious: what are my options?
Is it better to wait it out, and try to stretch my dollars a little further until everything works itself out? Or would it be worth it to contact Ellen or Mike about requesting another trainer? I hesitate doing that simply because the one that was assigned to me seems like a terribly nice guy. I just want to know if pushing for an earlier departure date is worth the trouble.

just hold out. it would probably take longer to get you set up with a new trainer anyway.
younGun Thanks this. -
I would just wait for your original trainer, might take longer to get another one that way. Plus enjoy your time at home while you can.

Finally got some things figured out!
After my trainer's hometime, he called me to tell me that dispatch still wasnt able to get him to cartersville to pick me up. He sent a QC message to his dispatcher to remind him that he had a student to pick up, but got no sort of reply. He suggested i contact Ellan to figure out if there was anything we could do to either set me up with another trainer or get an approximate date for my departure. So, i sent Ellan an email explaining what was going on, and she told me that she had no idea i had not been picked up yet. She said, after speaking with my trainer's dispatcher, that they are going to try to head him my direction sometime tomorrow.
I'm not the slightest bit upset or impatient; just excited. Sure, the setbacks have been a little frustrating, but stuff happens. I'm just happy to be moving in the right direction.
Now its time to start going down my check list so i can be ready as soon as i get that long-awaited call!
