I'm in a truck parking area on i40 in tn somewhere. Got a call this morning from some fleet manager...she asked me why I'm running late to my appointment at 1245. Ill be there at 1220. She kept insisting that I'm not going to be there until almost 1345. I told her I might end up being late now that I had to pull over to listen to you guys try to tell me I'm going to be late. What time did I get there? 1225. My question is do fleet managers have to take any trip planning courses? To make me pull over and listen to her nonsense was completely ridiculous.

    don't answer the phone, man.

i turn mine off when i hit the drive line, and keep it off until i stop for the night. they can send anything they want over the qualcomm, and you can listen to it if you want to without stopping.

I don't either. I'll let it go to vmail and check when I stop. If they really need you to stop they have text to voice on quallcomm now.

Looks like the 3rd quarter bonuses paid this week. Because of the new payplan, is this the last time we will see the quarterly bonuses? (Mine was over $320 this time. I kind of like the monetary surprise every 3 months.) I guess we will all have to attend the quarterly meeting to get answers.

I guess I should have said they messaged me telling me to call. Roehl doesn't even have my phone number. They keep asking for it but I tell them no, if they need something they can message me on the qualcomm and I'll call them back at a time that is convenient for me. When I leave the house my phone gets hooked up to the charger in the sleeper birth and it stays there until I go home, really don't need to replace another phone this year. I don't even keep a bluetooth device anymore. The problem is I'm driving and they send a message telling me to find a spot to pull over and call them it's urgent, then I do and it turns out to be something that isn't even an issue because they're wrong. I got stuck in chicago on my way to an appointment and ended up being about 15 minutes late and got lectured. They were telling me that I need to trip plan better. Now, how can they lecture me on my trip planning because of an accident, but they're trying to convince me that I'm going to be almost an hour and a half late to appointment when I'm not? Why would they think that? Because it almost seems that they know absolutely nothing about trip planning.

Of course they do, there is a 3 day class on how to use priceline to get the best rates. DM's need a vacation to get away from drivers that could potentially deliver late, especially if the truck hasn't update positioning for an hour and the computer is telling me it's late. After that phone call with a driver that wont listen, I know I need to plan my next vacation....ahh Hilton Head, SC here I come.

Roehl called said I needed to move my truck from my hometime parking place b4 it got towed. 1 of the 3 cops was a lady that drove for 26 yrs. she was the only reason that I didn't get towed automatically. The other two were understandable and we came to the conclusion that the farmers market a huge open gated yard across the street from my street where my house is off of I could park at. The lady x trucker cop met me there to talk to the people there but know one was available. Gave me her business card and shell talk to them in the morning if not ill be there to do so. Other trucks park there as well. I was lucky it didn't get towed and had a x trucker cop to help me out so much. Good times.
