I always drive in shorts. Never tried sandals but I drove in socks once. It felt to weird.
-
I'd get weird looks and then fired if I drove it shorts and sandals as a tri axle dump truck driver lol..

Not as WIERD as the guy on COPS when they pulled him out of a nice PETE wearing a Black Teddy and Heels

I personally doubt I would abandon my truck, at least if its running, its warm inside, worst case if fuel is low would be to cycle back and forth between the tandem webastos, thats what I've done when storm stayed in a village with no fuel available. Shut truck off for 2-4 hours, run webastos, fire truck up, charge batteries, then shut it down again.
That and pack for the weather, as soon as this time of year hits, I have a full snowsuit, parka, winter boots, mitts, toque(s) and a ton of other gear jammed under the bed for that bad nite, usually an airline repair when its -30 with a howling wind. -
It was Leapord skin, wasn't it ? It looked comfy. I tried to find one in my size at the old 76 in Hershey, PA, but they were sold out. Oh well. -
You can borrow mine Speedloader, I haven't got too much wear on it, and its fairly clean.......
