My BACK was telling me it weighed a TON!!!!!!!! LMAO!!! I get a twinge everytime I even LOOK at those old boat anchors!

There are still people who love messin' with the old boat anchors and makin' 'em do what they weren't intended. No criticism there........ I helped a buddy remove a Collins broadcast transmitter from an AM station several years back. It took all day to remove each stage (HEAVY!!!) to prepare for bringing the Xmitter out. At first, there was just the two of us. When we began to attempt to move the cabinet and remaining "innards", we couldn't. I asked Jim if this thing weren't bolted to the floor. He assured me it wasn't. So we continued to pry and pull for an hour or two...until it was clear that we were making no headway.

Help was called in, and once again Jim assured us the thing wasn't bolted down. One of the new arrivals didn't believe him and quietly slipped down into the basement for a look-see. Sho 'nuff, it was bolted down!!!!!! No durn wonder it didn't move! All that time we had been grunting, pushing, shoving, prying for nothing! I coulda "killed" him!!!!!! Ya can't even trust your friends!
