YOU, MY FRIEND, ARE MY NEW HERO!!! [IMG]
I love the functionality of ST&T but wanted the added security of Truck Routing. I tried ProMiles but # $895, they can keep it. I was going to buy CoPilot Truck, but was afraid of spending $200 on something I couldn't try first. We will run with this and see what she does.
BTW, my Laptop is placed on my Fridge which is occupying my former passenger seat spot. It works PERFECTLY here.

Anything thats distracts you while driving is creating a bad situation. I carry a laptop, in its case if I need it. Its not a big deal to get it out. Plus its safer for the laptop.

I have the Cybertrucker mount, but it isn't being used at the moment. I am looking at the RAM Mount made for this purpose. Here is a link for the RAM Mount.

    http://www.ram-mount.com/laptop_mount/ramvb168sw1_laptop_desk.htm

Notice the mounting holes on the side of the laptop tray. These are for mounting additional items like GPS, etc. I am seriously considering putting this in my T-600.

Does anyone have any photos or schematics of laptop stands that they've built?

I'm currently using the "wally world" tray table and getting by with it.

Gotta love having a GPS unit that also plays my MP3s at the same time.

    Thanks in advance...

Note all these pics of nice stands have rugged laptops in them if you have a normal cheesy cheapo laptop and are running it while you travel your risking hard drive failure and other problems .
get a good laptop with a nice chassis
and consider upgrading to the newer solid state hard drives.
or at the very least put some padding under your unit dont forget to cut out the fan holes.
A new rugged touchscreen/tablet with a ssd would be awsome for trucking
hell build it yourself have a blast.

I bought one of those "Cyber-Truckers"
Real CHEAP construction for BIG BUCKS. Plus it blocks 3/4 of my USB ports and makes the CD/DVD tray inaccessible, not that I will be watching movies while I drive.
But I got an idea for a better one. And I plan on building it this spring. If it works, I will patent the idea and try to sell it.
