Held up at a shipper in Detroit yesterday for six hours........so far $0 detention paid. Today it took the shipper up here in WI 2.5 hours to load me. Where are all of the drop and hook loads that were so common in the beginning???? Oh yeah, I am not a newbie here anymore..........that's why!!!!! And also my miles are in the crapper. I can't get a load longer than 300 miles. WTF?????![]()

Same here. Looks like maybe we've outstayed our welcome. I will be finding out tomorrow one way or the other when I get back to Lakeland. I think the Kiss of Death could have been the call I got last week telling me I got a penny raise.

October seems to be "Drag Knight into the Scales" month. Atleast it's been that way for me. Home til Tuesday.

When I started w/Knight, most of the Knight drivers that I met had several-to-many years experience, and w/Prepass, I never was cald in. As Knight relaxed their hiring reqmts to 6 mos and below, it got to be a more common occurrence.
For a while, Knight had a bad industry safety record and the Prepass meant nothing!
Also, as an Express driver w/a different truck starting out, I never knew if I was going to get pulled in w/my Prepass on that vehicle as I didnt know the history of the previous drivers on the vehicle. -
All I keep getting told is how freight is bad. I certainly wouldn't argue that point right now. As fas as the penny raise, at least you get it. My terminal doesn't participate in that plan. I was told that is up to each terminal mgr as to whether or not they offer the penny raise. Mine opted out. Guess there is something you get that I don't.

Actually, I got my detention pay without asking.
