Then there is the freight charges, to get it to you. LTL, probably as much as the boards cost, if not more.

Good price. Comcar's trailer parts store on Landstreet in Orlando has it as we'll, but I haven't priced it in a while. It's a difficult job and you'll go through a crap load of drill bits and maybe a drill. If you only have a couple nailer strips of wood and the rest is aluminum flooring it will be way less expensive. If its a full wood deck, plan on a week to get it done.

I did this myself. NEVER again. replaced the entire deck on my 48flat. the wood looks old & not tough until you try to get it off. the screw heads will break off, the deck had to be taken off with large prybar & a axe. had to buy a dril dr. drill bit sharpener to keep from buying more than a dozen bit's. it has a lot of backaches that go with the labor. I will try to find a pic of my work. I used apitong from fleetpride. after 4 years some parts are doing just fine, but some parts like in the center have not lasted, so I put a flat piece of 7/16 steel 10 ft long welded to each side of main beam. was not going to go thru replacing wood floor again, even if it was just a few center boards.

We always use white oak around here, but you can't throw a rock in the woods without hitting a white oak tree, I would imagine it would be scarce in FL. White oak isn't as good as apitong but it's pretty darned good at less than half the price locally.
I've never had a problem removing the old boards and can strip a trailer down in a hr or so. Just take a torch and burn off the screw heads (on the screws you can't screw out), pry the boards off, and break the remaining screws off flush with a hammer. The screws will break right off once you get the boards out of the way, no sense in worrying about the screw piece left in the cross member after you break it off flush.pigeon river trucking Thanks this.
