Winslow, AZ. What a day of winds. The whole way. I can not remember that last time that I was on I-40 and was not fighting the winds. When going west they are comming out of either the west of the SW. Could not find cheap fuel anywhere. Even the independents where either the same price or .01 cheaper. So, decided on the Flying J here, at least get some points.

 

You know what????? I am seeing that more and more(fuel prices in the same area very nearly the same price!)...makes me think collusion of fuel prices by some station/ts owners....wtf?....

 

I shouldn't be here.....but on the Pennsylvania turnpike..I76...service plaza..shhhhh! dont tell anybody...especially swift...

YeeHaw, Finally got a load offer on MAC 30, pu in N. Las Vegas and take it to Fontana. Whoopee. Ohhh, pu at 0700 on the 23rd.

 

Nice, here in laredo... just did macro 30 and nothing hopefully tomorrow when things start coming back over the border we can get a HV load out

 

So after I tcall and mac 30 all night getting NLO ... go ahead an go to bed. Get up 6 AM ... mac 30 still NLO. 10 minutes later I get a PP ... pu tcall in Memphis ... problem, yep, it was the same load I had tcalled the day before because it was to heavy for my truck ... everybody be proud of me I turned it down on mac 9 with a professional response.

Then got a nice 15K, one stop going to IL ... delivering tomorrow morning. It's 150 miles shorter then the one I lost. But with the stop pay and the 9.6mpg, I figure I break even.

St. George, UT. On my way, sent a pplan, pu at Hurrican, pales of paper from Wal-Mart, and del at 0800 on the 24th. Ohh well. Whopping 400 miles for 2 days. Travelled a rte today that hope that not see again for some time, UT-89A. Glad that I was light. That is a long pull up that one mountain, and darn curvy. While here had a Werner driver ask for my help. Barely speaks English. He was over on his trailer. Asked him if he was going to Ca. He said yes. Told him that to get the weight off the trailer, needs to move tandem back, but then he would not be legal for CA. What does he do. move his tandems back. Not even going to bother.

 

I went alt 89 one time...there was snow on the sides of the road....green as could be....scary ride but i thought really beautiful...u went thru colorado city and hillsdale....u know what goes on there?
