Yeah, that stretch of road can be real bad this time of year, along with the stretch between Cheyenne and Rawlins, and between Cheyenne and Douglas. I pull a tanker plus a pup, so when loaded the wind can push you around a little, not as bad as a van though. But when empty it can be "exciting", especially when the roads are icy. A tanker doesn't have a high profile like a van trailer, but when empty is extremely light.

I bought my husband a CB that has 10 NOLA stations to listen to the weather advisory..and then we have an app that is on android with GPS updating. It comes in really handy.

First thing I thought (twisted mind that I have) was "Cadillac Ranch"....just all neatly laid out in a row.

Hoping all did get out safe and sound....don't like to see those trucks roll over on the drivers side, though....

The problem I have with this picture (#1) is that all four trucks are laid over on the sides. But it looks like a two lane divided highway (2 lanes in each direction). If the trucks were moving there would be dig marks in the dirt. There are none. If the trucks were stopped, why in the heck would they stop on the left side of the roadway. safest place would be on the right side. The photo looks as though it could have been modified with photoshop. I am guessing though. Perfect spacing, no real horrific damage from crashing. It looks to me like it could be a movie set, and the trailers were placed there.

oh believe me, they very much are real. There were bullracks laid over like that on I90 in South Dakota from the same storm.

The only reason there was so much traffic out during this storm is there was no snow to go with it.

It was all of an Alberta Clipper that shuts down the upper plains less the snow.

That first truck looks like it has a lot of front end damage, the hood is off. Hard to tell on the other ones.

If you're going to have an accident, not moving would be the preferred status at the time!
