Total up the hours you worked the last 7 days (lines 3 & 4) and subtract that from 70 hours. If you have a negative number on the 8th day you can't run until after midnight (you gain the hours you worked the 1st of your last 7 days) if you didn't work the 1st of the last 7 days you have no hours to work until the next night at midnight).
The point is in 8 days you can not work more than 70 hours if you are on the 70 hour rule. If you are on the 60/7 day rule then it's just the day 6 instead of 7.
That is a short version. Look on regulations and look on the sticky threads I believe I have an example of the 70 hour and how it works. If you are on the 60 hour rule you just subtract that 7th day. -
Gotcha!Thanks again.

I get a day a week so I allow my days to add up before going home and then I get a longer stay.....the longest I was out was with a co-driver for 3 mos. I almost lost my mind...I would never stay out that long again...

how the heck did you manage to stay out 3 months? I would've lost it after about 3 days. They'd have to stick me in an institution . The only way I could do it would be if I had a wife or girlfriend riding with me and even then.... who knows what the hell might happen.
