I'm in Central NY hour south of Syracuse, start orientation 10-29. Can't decide on which to choose. I want it all.... hometime, money... no seriously I would like what everyone else wants, some of both. Which fleet should I choose. Thanks for input.

Hometime is good for families. National will make you more money.

Van you move more miles than flatbeds but you also deal with more headache's when it comes to customers

Flatbed makes you the most awesomeness human being

Reefer well.. yeah idk. I'm not a icecream totin, raw meat haulin, son of a gun.

Not all van customers suck just the majority lol and flatbed deals with p.i.t.a situations as well. I did 14/7 it was cool but wasn't making what I need. So I went national and I like it better. I can plan my hometime instead of a set schedule in a rotation. I can plan holidays, birthdays, and what not now as before I just missed them. Like last year I missed thanksgiving and New Years. Don't really care about New Years but I was at a smelly paper mill waiting for my load. I made it for my daughters b-day by luck. It was cool but glad I switched. I'm talking about van. Reefer was ok there equipment as in trls are really nice. But not for me as flatbed also. Maybe down the road. You can always switch its not set in stone.

Flatout like when u slip and hit the ground? Lol I'm sure Lantern can chime in on that one. It does have a nice ring though treefork. Can really think of any van ones....hmm...vanerific, vantastic, vansome. Idk got nothing. I know you'll say Vantard but its growing on me and I can accept it

Only rookies need walls to hold their freight. Real drivers strap it down and fly!

    But I did like "vantard".

By the way, I pulled drybox for more years than I will willingly admit to....

I love it. I've had reefer drivers say they tried dry box and hated it. Flatbed guys say the same thing. But I like it doesn't bother me. I think I could do other divisions just as good just don't have the desire to do so. I respect the drivers that do for sure an to each there own. There's downfalls in everything. I'm getting better pay and it'll rise every quarter if I continue what I do. Maybe one day ill say screw it but I'd probably go tanker than anything. If not that then flatbed, and reefer last.

I'm not a fan of "vantard". The worst ill call you is "door closer". Also maybe "better backer than me", though I did get pretty decent in 3 months pulling a box.
