Well, you know...it'd be different if it was conversation worth listening to. But it's either some (assuming) latin woman and guys with roger beeps and a bunch of other people who just repeat everything they say.

Was running channel 40 yesterday, it was the pit channel that we were using while running belly dump. Anyway I heard someone whistling into the mic. LOL I figured it was skip so I flipped on my box and ask why he was whistling into the mic. He said he was checking the modulation of his new mic. I told him it was not needed and simple voice would do. I then asked him were he was at. He said. 321 in North Carolina. LOL I replied back, this is Rat and I am in North West Minnesota at the moment. A little later I was back in North Dakota and I heard whistling again. I flipped on the box and said, 321, are you whistling into your mic again???? He came back and said ya, in a kind of timid voice. LOL.

Yesterday it seemed a little quieter out there. You could hear the skip but it was not near as loud as it has been the last month or so.

Well skip is still rolling, as some of you already know.

Been working 24,26 and 28 mostly. I am running barefoot with my 4600 turbo. The palomar bit the dust. LOL the connex pushed it a tad too hard. I am still making contacts just not as easily as I was with the box.

Need to find a 500+ watt box that can take the abuse of 10 ish watt DK and 200 swing.

Weekend of the 10th is a 10 meter contest ..... if the band is in good shape it will give many a chance to get a 10-10 number.

With propagation like we've been having you could get the ten 10-10's off a dummy load.:biggrin_25525:

Bring this back up because I have been rolling wall to wall most the weekend. Been getting many roses on the radio and handing them out as well all across the country. Still can't get that JJD even though I hear others talking to him.

It is funny because I have only made 1 contact down in the Lonestar state even though I make multiple contacts pretty much everywere else.
