Hey every one! I just wanted to tell every one how my experience was at the DDA in Littlerock AR.

I went to the DDA for a 40hr Refreshers, The Class is 899$ for the refresh, Mon-thurs, Then the next Mon-Weds.
Every one working there at DDA in little rock is very nice, Building is nice, They have about 8 or 9 trucks.
The trucks are good for new drivers, No school is going to have new Kw's for newbie’s.

Most of the time you work on the pad backing up right-hand turns all the stuff ya do on a pad! After Lunch ya go on the road!
My first two days on the road was not so Good! As the instructor and I hit heads a few times I did not know him to well as he did not know me to well! Wed and Thurs was really good! Instructor and I got along really well and I was not nervous like I was the First two days! So far I’m really glad I spent the 899 for this! I still have to go back next week! I had no clue how rusty I was! As it’s been almost two years since I’ve drove a semi.

There is alot of people there that spent 10,000$ for there 20 weeks, Few of them has some loans and grants to pay most of it. 10,000$ is alot of money but there is cost of running the trucks and the ware and tare on them. The 3 in my group really know there stuff! I've never seen a pretrip thats down to details as they are.

NOW I will say somthing! C1 is also driving on the roads that we do! We pull over at a truckstop to change drivers, Well C1 pulls up and 7 people got out of the truck! GEEEES hate to be in there. The trucks look----well not going to say the word! When one of the guy's in my group was driving we came up a hill, At the top is a stoplight, Well there sits a C1 truck with every one getting out and 4ways flashing, The 2et time we came by the Instructor was setting up the triangels. Well we came aroud once more and the triangles was not setup like they need to be! The last triangle might of been 60 feet behind the truck and the TRIANGLEs was not angle to the side of the road, They was in a nice stright row on the drivers side of the truck! NOW thats sad!

    Will update next week.

I went to C1 in Little Rock back in 2003. They were pretty good back then. Had some excellent instructors of which one went on to give the CDL road tests at 65th street DOT. They had good trucks back then and there were 3 to a truck. We spent the mornings learning our pretrips, and backing and spent the afternoon driving around the industrial park off I440. I think they taught me very well since I have been driving 10 years now, and am accident free, and CSA points free. One shouldn't talk if one hasn't been there.......................Good luck with Diesel Driving Academy.......you should have gone to C1......

Well its really sad if they can't even put out the triangles like they need to be and I did not say anything about them cutting off a one of are DDA trucks and turn sigs don't work on the trailers! And that was 10 years ago alot of things can change in 10 years. Looks like there useing the same trucks and trailers! as they was then!

I went to C1 back in October of last year. I got my CDL in three weeks. I was four to a truck. Anything more, then everyone wouldn't get a chance to drive. Good school, crappy dorms.

    TruckerSue Thanks this.

Verry good school. If you do the 20 week couse they work with you to get your hazmat tankers doubles and triples.

I was only there for just about two weeks but I wish I would of done a 20weeks. The people come out of there knowing there stuff real well.
