2,800 to 3,000 calories a day maybe if you're very active. However, sitting on your behind all day long day after day, I doubt you'll need that many calories a day to maintain your weight.

Yeah, I will have to recalculate once I am actually on the road. Plus my weight will be lower because I am doing this 21 day detox called the Ultimate Reset. Trying to get down to "fighting weight!" :)

Actually now that I think about it, the formula didn't take into effect how sedentary you were at your job because the job I'm leaving is a desk job: sitting on my butt all day, except moving still instead of driving a truck. The only thing it factored in was how many times you exercised per week, and how rigorous it was.

    From "freighting weight" ? :biggrin_2559:

2800 to 3k a day is insane for a truckdriver, keep it under 2000 calories and you will drop weight.
If you do a Raw Vegan diet you can eat all you want and not pass that mark

Yeah, I figured it must of included your current exercise routine. Doing that kind of exercise on the road is almost impossible. Good luck on everything!

Maybe so, but I am determined to make it work. There is one cliche that I find actually speaks some truth: where there's a will, there is a way.

    Checkin' in.

Still going well for me. About ready to kick into phase 2 with walking exercise. Still eating well. Have cut my salt intake way down.

Still logging everything I eat on www.myfitnesspal.com app

    I think I'm down about 26lbs now.

    Bumpy Thanks this.

yup dieting is tough on the road, im at home currently and on a low sodium heart healthy diet. with being over weight i had ended up in the hospital and i was abt 492 then, ive lost almost 100 lbs since being at home eating healthy food. Im itching to get back to work and i have a plan too keep on eating healthy so trust me i always thought they were joking about dieting and what not but its important so good luck too all who are trying

Great job, man!!! I managed to drop 20 over the last year. Started at 270, now at 250 on a 5'6" body. Hoping to get to around 170.
