Exactly. Anytime we call in whoever we speak with tries to make us feel that we are lucky that they took the time to answer (except Emulsified, of course :biggrin_25525: . Seems they have forgotten that if it wasn't for the drivers they would not have jobs. Of course, same goes for the 'clerks' at most shippers and receivers!! Especially most Wal-marts and Tyson/IBP

    Dryver and VegasfanNJ Thank this.

And drivers would not have a job or freight to move if it there were no clerks at walmart, or CSR's at the trucking company.

    TRKRSHONEY and Corporal_Clegg Thank this.

So I got my latest forced dispatch (LOL)... Hunts Point, never been there, heard a lot about it... what is really fun though is delivery is Monday morning... right into the teeth of the storm. Not so worried about Monday though other than winds, but I am pretty sure I am not getting loaded and out of there also Monday so guess I'll do like every other driver in the Northeast and try to find a place to park and ride it out. I just wonder if there are widespread power outages how long it will be before I get out of there.

Well, I came back after being away after almost three years and am going through the entire training process again. That should tell you something. Don't ask me what. ;-)

early morning appointment at hunts point? really not near as bad as stevens tries to make it. And you can park overnight on the property. Then you will get a load out also on Monday. The Boston meat market is worse for backing. The Chinese food delivery to hunts point is cheap, and good food also.

10 am appt... it's the 2nd stop, first at 5 am in PA... not so much concerned with the backing as much as just getting out before the storm. I'll already be down half of my 14 by the time I am empty.

We'll see but the sheer size of the storm will make it impossible to miss unless one is, headed south or west on Monday a.m. I think.
