Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

Try the 70s and 80s. Westbound logbook. Eastbound logbook. 100 MPH truck, 150 MPH dispatcher, 55 MPH nationwide speed limit.

 

Lets start over and go back to this way of trucking and start over trying to fix the mess. What has happened has not helped the industry so its time for the non truckers to go back to the drawing board and try again.

 

But I like it sooo much better now. 135 mph truck, elog, 50 mph dispatcher, and run 62-65. Life is soooo much easier now.

 

Yes it is. Much less stress and pressure and making more money, to boot!

 

why keep changing it why dont we just leave it the same and not mess with

Really short answer is Nothing.

Out of all of the discussions and arguing on the subject it has yet to be proven that the roads are SAFER or DRIVERS are anymore COMPLIANT. So this "patch" they are trying to force upon the industry as a means of stopping the so called "outlaw" company's and drivers is not going to help the industry achieve that goal. Instead of enforcing something that will not work they need to come up with some new way to control the people. I think they should just take the CDL of ANY driver caught running illegal and fine any company that is caught pushing drivers $100,000. This way both Drivers and Company's would learn real fast the HOS is nothing to play with.
