i bought this truck back in 2005 and paid $6,300 for it. 6 months later put a $15,000 overhaul on it and have been running it since without any problems other than new tires. Little 350 kitty sure was expensive on the overhaul... Anyways yes she sure has paid herself off many of times.

    SHC and Freightlinerbob Thank this.

That is the same way my 99 FLD flat-top was. I paid $33,000 for it in 2004 with a brand new crate engine/trans/rears. I drove it till 2010 and the only thing i ever fixed were a set of brakes, and an ECM. That truck paid for itself over and over, and the 12.7 got 8mpg pulling a van and I was able to get it up to almost 9.5mpg pulling a tanker. I was stupid and traded it in on a large car. The place I traded it to stil has it and uses it for local work and he won't let me buy it back LOL.

I was using $1,000 in fuel a week on my dedicated run, but I was getting $1,200 in FSC.

Those late 90's trucks were the best.

I had no clue about the storm til you mentioned it. That explains normally those loads might get up to around $3 a mile if they were hot but likely always move for much, much less.
