I don't have the sensor yet, but I spent the night in Wendover, NV tonight. It was 27 degrees, I ran my bunk heater on LOW all night, charged my phone, and had my cooler plugged in. This morning when I got up the dome light immeadiately went off when I turned it on, so I knew my battery was low. If I was on a 34 and had the sensor I would be screwed. As it was I idled for 20 minutes.

GB has listened precious few times of late. No reason for optimism now.

Well, during my last reset, I used up all my battery power quickly. I lost all the food in my cooler, also. I ended up sitting in the driver's seat, hitting the brake button every time it was about to cut out on me, for a half hour at a stretch a few times, just so I could *try* to save my cooler food and to *try* to avoid complete battery drainage. Oh, I didn't even mention to you that I spent the night in a motel to start out my 34.

I also spent a lot of nights the last two weeks sleeping in long pants, socks and hooded sweatshirts with the hoods cinched up around my head and my head buried under my blanket.

This is not how I want to "live". Like KE5WDP said, nobody is forcing me to suffer like this (and quite frankly, it's not even really winter yet). I need to make a change.

That really stinks! Our quality of life is going down hill fast and like you said a change will have to be made before long. I have my PM for Tuesday.

I feel sorry for you guys. I don't have to worry about the sensor sibce I don't idle anyway. I practically told them to put in the sensor at the Houston OC while I was getting a new stsrter and they declined.

I don't care, if I have to babysit the Qualcomm waiting for a #### load or practically live in the ###### truck to keep from getting stabbed or worse then by God the truck better babysit me. They could avoid all this by caring about us like they used to, listening to our advicend being less about the bottom dollar.
APU would do away with all this and save the company.

I understand that. But I also understand that my quality of life has been severely affected, and that now outfits that I previously have felt were below SNI are now more appealing.

If the ambient sensor had an option to where it could be over ridden when the batteries go dead, just so you can idle back up to a full charge, I'd be happy.

I agree Female Driver. I wouldn't have a problem if there was a way to idle enough to charge up the batteries while on a 34 reset or something. With this being a known issue, it will force us with the electric coolers to either go back to buying ice or just not having anything with us which I don't think will be tolerated by too many. I personally like to use my lunch box oven to heat up dinner and other stuff but that will even be hard with a sensor. If they truly cared about us drivers, they would listen to what we have to say and work with us on this issue. Heck, I took the wheel covers off my tractor tires last week and I have not lost any mpg without them. Might just keep them off and enjoy the shinny rims while I can...LOL

I use the lunchbox oven, too. I also like to use my computer and wifi, but now I limit that to the hour of charge (it that) that I have on those. I unplug all accessories, but my cooler, but that's just not working out.
