It won't be a problem on the reefer side. We get loads through that area all the time.snowman1 Thanks this.

Thanks IP for the info. I truly think that Prime is going to be the best deal from everything I have read. Thanks again.
ironpony Thanks this. -
I am curious as to why prime sent you home instead of doing it at there sleep center partner? Unless prime stop the association with the sleep center.
-
I dont know ether I was talking to a new guy at the terminal and he said he is set up to have it done but they have him working already WTF I called my recruiter to ask what was the deal. I have an accident were I fell asleep but it was over 10 years ago no damage to anything but my car and she was told about it . I point blank asked her was this the reason I was sent home and should I even try to come back just to be sent home ... waiting on her e-mail back

Did you have an existing medical diagnosis for sleep apnea coming into orientation? If so, and it was untreated (no CPAP machine) that may have been the problem.
-
No existing medical issues but the dock told me the nail in the coffin was the accident but with my weight and neck size he said they might ask for one. But why they didnt have me do the test with them remains to be seen.

snowman1,
Prime is the best choice for companies that train from scratch. I am from Knoxville, researched industry for over 6 months, talked to over 100 drivers from many companies, and I chose Prime Inc. The training program is very unique, and the work for a Year and no tuition plan is not done by any other company that I found. Plus, if you want to run reefer and are willing to drive the Lightweight trucks, the starting per mile pay is far more than Swift or Pam.
I started my Orientation week last week, but I am at home, after being sent home for a medical Disqualification last Friday, so I can see my Specialist, for my annual checkup, for a Medical condition that I have that will not DQ me from driving. I missed my annual checkup by 5 months, and the Prime Doctor wanted it done before he would clear me for DOT Medical Card.
I am not upset about this either, I should have realized it was going to happen. All my test are done, will see my doctor on Friday, and I Spoke with my recruiter today, hopefully I will be back in Springfield by the end of next week.
Good luck, and thank you for serving your country!!snowman1 Thanks this. -
I start Orientation with PRIME Inc. This coming Tuesday. I have researched all the companies out there that a new driver could start with and I feel very confident in my decision to go with PRIME. The pay, benefits, and equipment surpass any of the other companies and the drivers I have spoke to so far online and in person are as professional as they come and appear to love working for PRIME. Hope to see some of you guys and girls out on the road soon. PM me if your going to be in Springfield MO next week.

Thanks KT and Medic I have read a lot about prime over the last week or so and I would have to agree that Prime would be the best. I just have to wait until closer to me getting out of the military. Thank you both for your input.
