Need some insight here

Actually there is a filter in the power steering. I change mine about once a year.

 

Hey Taino, do my family a favor and call *FHP and report these clowns. FHP took over FDOT.

 

Usually located inside the reservior tank. Cartridge type filter, not canister type.

 

Before driving for that local company,you should check their equipment,make sure it's DOT ready and check their safety rating on line.Otherwise you may be facing the same problem.

 

Sounds worse than the place I work.

Tread on the steer axle tires cannot be less than 4/32nds of an inch or it is DOT out-of-service. Tread on drive axles cannot be less than 2/32nds of an inch or they are DOT out-of-service.

.You check the truck for an air leak with the engine off and the brakes off for one minute. More than 3psi in a tractor trailer is out-of-service. Engine off and brakes fully applied for one minute and it loses 4 psi or more the truck is out-of-service.

Recently there was a safety check of commercial vehicles on the highways. 1 in 7 trucks had an out-of-service brake condition [see www.thetrucker.com].

When I started my current job, my jerk boss threatened to fire me because I refused to drive his truck which had a major air leak. I told him go ahead and fire me. I will go to the unemployment office and have them report the unsafe trucks being dispatched to the state DOT, state police etc. Told him tomorrow morning the state police would be at the front gate to do DOT inspections on every single commercial vehicle in the yard. Told jerk have a nice day and I would insure that every state,county,township,boro,local cop and meter maid would be pulling over every company truck and checking them out
today. Maintenance issues with the truck result is a hefty fine on the company. Well the mechanics quickly talked the jerk out of firing me. My cdl license is my livelyhood. I ain't doing nothing stupid to lose it.
