Well, reading through this site, it seems there are really no good companies to run for. Maybe it's a personality fit. One that's good for one driver, won't be good for another. I guess I'll just have to jump in and swim. Thanks though.

Once you decide to go to work for a company, (ANY company, in ANY line of work,) for heaven's sake, COMMIT to them! Go at it with the idea that it IS a decent company, and you are going to do a good job for them.
That way, even if you are proven to be wrong on down the road, you will never have a problem with looking at yourself in the mirror. If it doesn't work out, you will know that you gave it your best, and it wasn't your fault that it didn't work out. -
Good way to think of it. Thanks

I start with Andrus on Monday, I know people do not like them, They may be a good fit for me, since I am from Northern Utah. Only time will tell.
I worked breifly for Werner, a lot of people said Werner sucked, they treated me pretty well. I just got the offer to go with Andrus during home time and Andrus pays more per mile for the same geographical area.
I drove for Crete when I started out, I hated them, but that does not mean they are a bad company, it just was not a fit for me. I know a lot of drivers that love working for Crete. -
Good luck with Andrus, Snowshoes. I hope it turns out to be a good fit for you. I know that it is a good fit for some folks.
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
Thanks Don, I'm gonna go in with a positive attitude and see how it goes. I enjoy learning from life experiences and this won't be any different.
Blackadder47 Thanks this. -
Where will you be driving out of?

I go to orientation in St. George Monday, but I think my home terminal will be Salt Lake
Big Don Thanks this. -
I should get my truck tomorrow. So far things have been pretty much as expected for orientation, you know, videos, logs, safety, brake adjustment, chaining, etc. with the exception of one thing. They took us out to the scales with a truck and DOT went through and showed us what they look for in a level 1. We all appreciated that one.
Yesterday they got their CSA report and received a ZERO (meaning they had no violations). Say what you want about Andrus but to me that speaks volumes about the company I have chosen to work for.socal Thanks this. -
