Good to hear and welcome aboard. I hope everything works out for you here as it has for most if us. Just remember it is a trucking company...lol. Also with the APU they are 4k watt gens so you can run a microwave, George foreman, coffee maker, ect. Just don't run them all at the same time...lol. But you can run what you need to to live out here. If it is a electric APU someone else will need to let you know about them. The one I had didn't do so well. Not sure if they all work the way that one did.

I have seen something similar to that at Iowa80 off of I-80. Not sure if I am right but it is around $50.00 or so. I will check it out tomorrow. Will be stopping off their tomorrow night. Either way that is some good advice. Thank you for sharing.

The Cascadia/Climacab provides ONLY HEAT or A/C that's it.

Doing a reset? Going to have to Idle the Truck to recharge it.
In the Summer it could barely keep up, and then Die after 4-6 hours. Also no Reefer Link like the Guys in the Petes.

If you can find one of these they're great but pricey....about $130.

I don't have one my experience with them is this.
When I was with Swift unloading at a Beer Place they wanted me to slide my Tandems had a lot of trouble.
There was a (I think it was) Millis Driver that had one of these and he showed me how and we used it on my trailer. He said they got them during orientation.

NSullivan: Will do. I believe its going to be a good company to work for. I drove for Franklin in Houston, MS few years ago and loved it. This company seems like they have the same family qualities. I've read every word on this forum over the last couple of weeks. From what I have gathered, these drivers enjoy it too. There's a big difference when you hear "This or that company sucks because they never get me home or screw up my pay or just don't care about you. And, I'm sitting cause load wasn't ready or no freight. Because it doesn't matter who you drive for you're going to sit and some point cause of slow or no freight. That's just the economy not the carrier. But I will defently keep you informed.

The sta rat is an awesome tool if you have a pull slide handle. I had mine stolen when another driver was put in my truck to drive a run, so I have to replace it. Looks like its you and me at orientation smokey.

GenArcher: yeah, gotta be there Tuesday morning. I think there is suppose to 5 of us total. Don was trying to make sure he had another truck before he let me know for sure. Said he had 4 already and I would make 5. So maybe it'll be a quick couple of days.

what i do when i cant pull pins is pull forward with trlr brks on and pop the clutch.it rocks the trlr and usually settles in the middle.but u have to do it easy or u mite tear something up.works almost every time if done rite.when that doesnt work then i get the old hammer out.vice grips work well also
