The 70/435/29/80 was the route i was going to suggest is nice and easy and doesn't add much to the run

Was in ATL yesterday and had to go to Owens for an MT. 1 friggin MT in the whole place. Everything else was loaded, I would say a good 40+ loads over there waiting to be pulled out.

you can check in Sunday night. It wont be out of pocket, but it will obviously be tacked on the motel bill for the rest of your stay.

yeah we have loads sitting all over the place but yet people are sitting. are we just getting loads way early or do we need some better logistics? I mean they sent me to iowa to menards then i sat there for 3 hours waiting on a load out even though there were like 3 loads sitting there. then i go to marion illinois and they send me to st louis budweiser. I actually had to complain for once on the qualcomm. i asked if i was going to get to go home sometime this weekend. So the weekend guy tells me to take it by my house (which i cant and have explained that to them a few times now). So finally i got to drop it in trenton. The load was ready friday and was to be delivered saturday. Why did they not just give me that load instead of the menards run? I guess i shoudlnt complain since i now have 2400 miles. But sometimes being home is worth more than money. So now i am going to take Monday off and go back out Tuesday.

Well first week of Regional went pretty good. Shockingly I drove 3001 miles. Couldn't believe it but I added it up twice and it's correct. Possibly more if I pick up and deliver something else today. Sitting in Earth City waiting for a door to get unloaded. Still trying to figure how things work on regional. Had to say something to see about getting home over the weekend after that they got me here. Got home late Saturday nite but it's all good. So are they supposed to get you to the house on the weekend or exactly how does it work. Please someone fill me in or send me a PM with your number so I can call you with some questions. That would be very helpful.

Also on another note. I watched Baritones YouTube videos and they were pretty good. Very informative. Hopefully out paths will cross one day. Would love to meet you.

Ga regional has a system. They ask you on Thursday if you want to run the weekend. I know other regional areas are run different and have heard you have to put in home time requests for the weekend. The only time I put in a home time request is if I need a Monday or Friday off.

LB is right, I believe all the regionals run a little different. I run NC regional out of Eden and we are almost always home sometime Friday and get a preplan that day for a load that delivers Monday. As far as running wknds, last friday we all got a message in the morning saying they had 7 loads going to Concord for Saturday, and they needed volunteers. All the loads were covered in 5 min, I ran two down myself. Currently sitting in GA, ran a beer load down to Savannah and picked up carpet in Thomson, GA going to a Shaw Plant just north of Dalton. I like the GA runs, seems like my miles are always better at the end of the week:biggrin_255:

yeah maybe its just my dispatcher but i never know when i will be home or what my next load may be. There is little to no communication. maybe it is because there are a bunch of us at trenton. one week i am home friday night. next its saturday night. this week it was sunday afternoon and that was only because i said something to the weekend dispatch about was i ever going to get home this weekend.
