Well I hate to say this because I'm gonna come off as an ##### hole but when this storm is over it will be all hands on deck. The amount of construction that will happen for repairing the storm damage is gonna be huge.

I know we are in the YRC thread but does anyone know anything about FedEx Ground team drivers? I know I would be working for a contractor. I was supposed to team with my buddy through a contractor there but his contractor is no longer there and he doesn't like the new one. I'm a little worried now. My friend is talking about leaving them. Just my luck. Currently working for YRC but looking like I'm gonna be laid off soon. No one else worth working for is hiring out here right now. Need to keep the money coming in.

They changed it, I'm at 211 now. Wooohooo! Had to do 3 drop & hooks on my way in this weather. That sucked.

There was a thread in the FedEx section, a guy posted his experience... I'm thinking about returning to trade school now and learn a trade. There isn't much good trucking jobs around hefe

Not too many here either ACH. I do understand it's slow right now but it used to be I could find a good driving job easy. Even in the slow time.
If I was your age again I would definitely do something else if I could. Trucking is not what it used to be. Where I'm at there is a waiting list to get into junior college and these kids can't find jobs after they graduate. Total BS! They need to fix the country! -
YES! They sent me to 422. It's sunny & 70 here. "Saweet!"
