    Ok...

I have an Antron 99 antenna set up on the side of the house. Working good.

I have a Ranger 2950 that I want to use for 10 meters and am waiting to get my Galaxy 2547 today.

How can I use the Antron for both radios? Is there something I can buy to have the coax from the antenna be connected too and somehow have two other coax wires coming out to both radios??? Is there something that I can use the same antenna but switch between radios?

Is it possible to talk on 10 meters on one antenna and use the same antenna to monitor 11 meters???

Please someone let me know how I can go about doing something like this. THANKS!!!

You need a coax switch. Something like this:

A coax switch does the equivalent of unscrewing the coax from one radio and hooking it to the other. There's no (reasonable) way to hook up both radios so you can transmit on one while receiving on the other.

That said, I don't know how well the A99 will work on 10 meters. (Some say it doesn't work very well, period, but that's another topic altogether...)

Thanks for the help. I had it on 10 meters earlier and seemed to be doing fine. I have read some other information that it should be able to do well on both bands. I can't remember what the actual SWR was the last time i checked, but it was in the range to do ok on both. This is a first for me. haha

If you use the product that you linked, can you still monitor on one radio if you have it on the other talking???
Can you monitor on both at one time???

No to both. It isolates the other radio.

If you are licensed and want to run 10m SSB, I'd recommend making a wire dipole. Lots of instructions on the 'net for how to make one.

    Turbo-T Thanks this.

    Corn Field,

I am using a switch similar to the one posted above in my mobile set up and it works perfect.

I agree a wire dipole would work great. Easy to make. All you need is a PL259 from Radioshack, 16-17 ft (for 10 meters) of 14-16 gauge wire, a popsicle stick, or the end of an old tooth brush (for a center insulator) and some garden twine/string).

I have heard the A99 will work on 10 meters. never tried it myself.

I say if you can run 10 meters on an A99 and the SWR doesn't go past 2.0:1 SWR, you're good to go.

Even better, if you could get a hold of an antenna analyzer, it would tell you where exactly your antenna resonates and at what SWR.

I'm planning on using the A99 for 10 meters. So, I guess the product that was listed about would do what I need and I can just have both radios turned on at the same time and switch between the two for what I want to do. Never messed with 10 meters but I figured since I already have a radio that can let me play with it, I might as well try it. SWR for 10 meters was under 2:0 last time I checked.
