You are. You should have checked first driver - live and learn.

 

Just because you GET a green light, does NOT mean it's released.

Dock creep, your trailer will move away from the dock, you will put tension on the lock mechanism and you will not allow it to drop away.

That's why you should ALWAYS push back against the dock and creep forward instead of powering away from the dock.

NEVER allow your truck to pull away under full power. YOU WILL cause damage.

 

#### you must have dumped the clutch and gassed on it. Kind of hard to believe you pulled away easy. If you did you would have to have felt that. It's all good we all mess up.

 

Ur fault 100% got to get out n look... U must of really hit that gas though.

 

yep your fault. for future reference the red and green lights are wired to the dock lock switch not the lock itself so if the switch is in the unlock position the light will be green even if the hook is still holding

 

hey guys. its not for sure that he had to be given it hell to rip that style dot bar off. i had one ripped of when they locked it. i got lucky and heard it break. that style is aluminum welded and tend to wear the welds out when loading and hook docks alot. the bars mounts are so high and the hook is so low it does not take alot to pull it off

 

if you,ve done a pretrip b4 you left,you would have seen the hook in place. don,t blame others for your mistake

 

Um, you engaged the axle lock to pull away from the dock. No red flags?
