My 2ws broke the center section of the exhaust manifold. Gonna put a pdi on it i think. Is there a better aftermarket manifold? Is there any real performance gain with ceramic coating or is it just a pretty 500$ option? Anyone know what torque value or sequence is for manifold? Thanks

Anyone know the difference in price between the PDI and the stock CAT exhaust manifold on a E model ?
-
i bought a center section about 3 yrs ago from cat $500. so i would say you could buy 2 pdi manifolds for what you would pay for one stock manifold. heck maybe 3!

So are you saying about $1500.00 from CAT and about $750.00 for a PDI, just trying to do some homework here incase I need to replace one in the future. Right now Im running a 5DS (601) file with a stage 1 B/W and I dont have any EGT's issues.

pdi's are 1150 and for the coated one 1650

like the other poster said $1150 for a pdi extruded one. if you think your egt's are good now wait until you put the pdi on!

Cat guote of 459 yesterday for center section on 3406e. Bought entire pdi non coated from pdi dealer in ephrata pa for 1000 even....great price. I bet its at least 3 or 4 lbs heavier than stock and reinforced in all the right spots. Got ecerything apart today got new pdi manifold ready to go on. Only had to heat one stud to get it out. Cat ripped me f off 600 for all gaskets and studs and nuts but they had it in stock.
