Well I've been pretty busy the last couple days. Picked up oversize load in Conyers GA, then got my first ever ticket at the first louisanna scales for permit hard to read because the way it printed but yet at the second scales the officer said he could read it no problem. (sigh). Then unloaded in Houston TX reloaded across town was suppose to get 8 generators and a spool of wire from t-mobile to head to Allentown pa but that got changed instead i got 3 little generators headed for Allentown pa. Funny part about it is we're still charging the same as a full load haha $3300 called dispatch told them i had 31 feet available on the trailer and only weighed gross with half tanks 36780lbs so they found me a load out of Ville Platte LA 1 pallet, a water main valve 1700lbs going to unity-ville pa. Got that for $800 still have 18.6 feet open up on the trailer. i got dispatch trying find me something else to throw on and ill be set for Friday haha im in Gadsden alabama for the night did 653 miles today im feeling pretty freaking productive lol this is why i like working for percentage i get 25% of the line haul so far just whats on my trailer right now from houston to unityville i'm looking just shy of $800 gross to ME not counting whatever i get friday and/or if i can pick something else up to throw on this load

Well, I decided to sit home for the weekend (well most of it) Going ot leave out Sunday morning and head to PA and make delivery Monday. I did not want to chance going to Altoona on a Friday and having to DH back home because there wasn't anything to haul. Hopefully I can set-up something for Tuesday from there.

Going to do some odds and ends on the rig and maybe install a new 5th wheel if I feel motivated

 

Been a pretty laid back week for myself. Local big wig farmer has 13,000 acres and keeps adding on, is putting up a couple 500,000 bushel bins and hired me to haul em down. He got all material from up in Lanesboro, MN and Hired me and two buddies to haul em down here. Paid loaded and empty $3.00/mile. I have made 2 runs up this week and will probably run up again tomarrow for the last of it. Not sure what it weighs but I think I got enough since I am empty going up. Anyways sitting at the house until tomarrow.

 

In Texas, in about an hour I think I will say screw it and bounce home.

 

Sitting in AZ - no freight to CO. So I am playing poker tonight and golf tommorrow. Then Saturday I am running a track machine across town and deliver Monday and fly home for 2 weeks

I am at the J in Anna, I know, I haven't left yet. Think I might give it until 10am tomorrow, waiting to see if a particular customer cuts some freight loose.

 

Fridays usually tend to be very profitable for me when I'm in Texas. All the locals are coming home and nobody is wanting to head back out, especially to the cold/wet north. I know how you feel tho about not wantin to wait. I couldn't line up a load out of PA for tomorrow so I am just sitting on the load over the weekend. I found a load to SC picking up Monday about 30 miles away from where I'm delivering. So it worked out well for me
