Appreciate it, Snowshoes. I'll definitely report back after tomorrows drive.

Like mentioned above, you can probably slowly let the clutch out with out throttle. Just ease into it a little. See if you can practice clutch work before class etc.
Traffic, well, dont let that bother you. You will deal with that every day you work. If they honk the horn and flip you off when they race past, just smile and wave.Snowshoes Thanks this. -

Forget about when you're on the road. Practice EASING off the clutch in the yard before you go on the road. It's no different in the yard than when you're on the road. Just practice you're clutch control and you'll be fine. Even mention this to the school that you want to practice your clutch release. They should comply with that request I would hope.
ClassB Thanks this. -
I will ask the instructor if i can spend extra time (since the other 3 guys actually drove standard prior to schooling and I havent). He even spent 15 minutes showing me how and was patient with me.

Just remember, with most medium and heavy vehicles, you don't need and throttle. The truck actually tries to NOT stall. When you slow down to stop without the clutch in, you will feel the truck trying to pull forward and keep the gears spinning to not stall as you continue to slow down. Same thing when you're starting. Just ease off the clutch, and after you get going a good couple MPH, you'll be off the clutch and idling down the road. Then throttle away.ClassB Thanks this. -
But getting blown a kiss from a big ugly, hairy mofo will sure confuse them...if not piss them off even more! lol
