Truck's batteries are bad(won't hold charge)
Need water pump gasket(dealers closed until monday)
Currently at the Bordentown, NJ Petro until monday. Whatever battery power I have left is for charging my phone since I can't run anything else. I do have money on my debit card for food so I'm not SOL just yet.
Any tips/advice for the next few days?

Even if he can swap batteries, he still can't run the motor to charge them with a leaky water pump gasket.
Driver, the big issue is staying hydrated, fed, and warm. Make sure you have plenty of clean drinking water, and food. Something like granola or that canned chili that takes like shoe leather when could but is at least edible. Also, make sure you have plenty of blankets for the nights if you're not sleeping in the truckstop (I don't know if they have power or not, I'm presuming they do). Pull the curtains closed on your sleeper, as that gives you a smaller area to keep warm. It also helps if you arrange a blanket or curtain of some type that cuts that area even smaller.hatlesstrukr and flyspy Thank this. -
As for the battery issue, is ~$135 a good price for batteries? I can get them for ~$100 each back home at wofford truck parts(in el paso). -
Yes at a time like this $135 is a good price. Stuck in Bordentown should be worth $135 each to get out.

if bordentown has power food and fuel I would sit there and let nature take its course until monday
there is enough trouble going on there without you not making it to the dealer from where you are safe at the moment
photo is 3 blocks from my house
be grateful you are ok compared to everyone 40 miles east of you
maybe God is just keeping you safe out of harms way the next 2 days -
I should have tossed those bags at Sandy to clump up the water that caused all that damage. The bags said "cat attract" formula so it might have helped. -
"cat attract". Properly prepared they taste like chicken. Might save you a dollar or two on food cost.
Okieron Thanks this.
