They give you one free a year no questions asked. and its good to check it as they had some errors on mine and it was way easier to fix then and not find out on orientation day !

If you only have less then a year and you been with the same company. More then likely nothing will be on your dac. IF you have had accidents or incidents then it will probably be on your dac once you quit. So its just best to report the truth.

Hireright is required under the fair credit reporting act to provide one free dac once a year. It's a good idea to request one each year on your birthday, christmas etc.. when you get your free copy of your credit report from the 3 major reporting agencies. I spread the 3 agencies out 3 months apart to catch something that might pop up during the year. You are getting your free credit report once a year aren't you????

One issue is that I was parked at a truck stop in the sleeper. Somebody backed into my tractor. I don't anticipate a problem, but....

Second issue: I since had left the above company, but got hurt while working with my second. I wasn't driving, I was excercising away from the truck. There was a work comp claim, which after settled they required me to leave their company. I have been off for almost a year rehabbing. Anyway, I have read some scurrilous stuff about how this company has made innacurate entries on some drivers' DACs. I even read about a driver who was blackballed in my situation. I hesitate to say what company but you guys know the usual suspects for entry level drivers. So I'd just like to know where I stand.

    Thanks everybody for the replies.

Well if you been off of work for a year they will be making you go to a refresher course, and with the workmans comp thing. A lot of companies may pass you up because of that. I know for my company they wanted a whole lot of information from doctor and stuff so if you do get a gig. Be sure to take all your release from the doctor information. They had one guy sitting on the phone for hours trying to get information from 5 to 10 years ago. So keep that info in a safe place.

^^^I'm willing to take the refresher. I was worried about the possible work comp issue though. Shoot.

I'll go to the doc and get my records if/before I get an orientation offer, thanks for pointing that out.
