The A99 is a very good antenna for working both 10 & 11 meters. SWR on my A99 is 1:8 28.500. And 1.7 on 26.965. With a good tuner it can do much more.

Thanks for letting me know. I heard multiple beacons yesterday afternoon around 2:45. I have a friend who lives about 15 minutes away who has a beacon and heard his as well as many others. I could hear some stations talking yesterday as well. I heard one man talking about what radio equipment he is using and multiple freqs later, I heard someone speaking a different language. There is a net on Wednesday nights that I will attempt to get into next week. This is so cool because it's something totally different than 2 meters and 11 meters.
Just a quick question though. I ordered the product that was linked earlier and should have my antenna switch either today or tomorrow. Does anyone know if I can use that switch and have both radios on at the same time? I know I can only monitor and talk on whichever radio the switch is turned onto to. But, will I have to power down the radio not being used? A buddy told me that sometimes you can overpower the radio that you are not intending on using or something. Just don't want to blow a radio up... -
You don't have to turn it off, but I would for two reasons.
First, even though it's not connected to the antenna (and probably grounded at the switch), you are still getting a LOT of RF into the front end of the disconnected radio. While it probably won't hurt anything, I wouldn't take the chance.
Second, what happens if the radio is on and you grab the wrong microphone? You'll be transmitting into a dead short. Not good for your finals.Corn Field Thanks this. -
Turn the 2nd radio off. Not only what MsJamie said about grabbing the wrong mike. You can overload the front end. Why do you need the 2 radios on at once?

This is the steup so far. Yaesu ft-2800 2 meter is on the far left. I'm using an MFJ 1516 vertical antenna. The middle radio is the Ranger 2950 that I am planning to use for 10 meters and the Galaxy 2547 is on the far right. Both of these radios are running off the Antron... So far it's working good. -
Nice station cornfield.

Thanks Turbo. What kind of setup do you use?

I'm surprised you haven't enabled 60m on it...
One of these days, I'm going to have to pile all of my radios on my desk for a "shack portrait".

My friend uses a 2000. That's what i want to get in the future.
