I like to be able to avoid sitting in traffic because of a wreck or some kind of road problem. I ask for a heads up from the oncoming traffic . Most of the time you do not have to ask. A oncoming driver usually lets everyone know what is going on. I can't count the times my CB has saved me time. Just saved myself about a 3 hour delay by getting off the interstate and going around the wreck. (with a fatality) A cell phone will not help you in that situation.

Have an apu and enjoy nice breezes. Only time truck is on is when it's moving down the road.

I don't need a cb to make me feel like a real trucker.

    Just sayin

Just sayin .... I'd rather know what my options are so I can deliver my load on time. Instead of sitting on the interstate not moving for hours and hours. A CB is just like anything else in my truck. It has a on and off switch. I listen when I feel that it is approiate to do so. Just another tool of the trade. The cost of a CB is hardly a life style changing purchase. If it is you need to find a more financially rewarding occupation. Nuff said.

What is a "real trucker"????? And why would be on a "CB thread" posting comments if you have no use for a CB?????

Cant add anything that hasnt been said already but here goes. Why wouldnt you want one? It is part of driving a truck. I can live without cupholders, but why would I? It makes the job easier.
One clown doesnt need or see the need for a cb. The man shouldnt have one(or he actually does have a CB and trolls here to bicker?). The government hasnt regulated this, yet. We still have the choice and option. Nuff said...:biggrin_25514:
