I was joking and think you missed the point. The cycle of cheapness starts with truckers who gobble up cheap loads, all the while complaining they didn't have any choices (BS), and cutthroat brokers driving good rates down to secure business because they can depend on guys like you, and it never ends. Both truckers and brokers (bad ones) are to blame for the cheapness that's plentiful out here but it's a free market and nobody ever said it would be easy... Don't waste your time with cheap stuff and it goes up.. Maybe deadhead 300 or 400 miles, I do that all the time, to secure a better paying load and not put all that wear and tear on your equipment trucking cheap 45K loads.?. Maybe keep closer tabs on the loadboards and refreshing them for the easy 50-150 mile loads that occasionally pop in the afternoon, then try to work yourself to Jessey after that.?.. There's always choices.... ...nobody held a gun to your head and made you book it...

@Rollincoal - You stated- "nobody held a gun to your head and made you book it... Are you sure about that? You are in the forum; where the blame game is "everyone else's fault"..LOL>>> You stated above also that it's carriers and brokers; to which is 100% correct. It's a free market like you stated. I think people should'nt always keep under-cutting & under-cutting...etc because you reach such a base line rate that there's no money in it anymore. Simply because you bottom'd out just to get business. To which your going to fail in 20 min's.(ok maybe longer)

Yes it's a free market. But I will say this; I believe the best brokers are the one's that are former driver's in some capacity. You get these college kids that work for places like TQL, then it's just like a car-lot.....Full of salesman and (BS) to boot!
