This and others like will just give the Supreme Court more evidence that the "Militia" referred to in the 2nd Amendment should be the Military and not private citizens. Assualt weapons and hand guns show no useful purpose for citizens, only hunting arms do.

Ouch
We the people exist with out our governments permission
To take away the freedom of the many to protect the few is the down fall of democracy
IF the people were able to arm themselves in public we would be able to live the American dream oops the (original) dream
Survival of ones family = protection -
"An Armed Society, is a Polite Society. The United Kingdom has put so many restriction on firearms, that basically citizens are now forbidden to own them. Only firearms kept at gun clubs with licensed armorers (meaning rich folks who can afford to join) are permitted. They may only be used for range and authorized hunting activities. At this point in time, the two fastest growing crimes in England are "ARMED" Robbery and "ARMED" Home Invasions. Gee, you mean the bad guys didn't turn their guns in too?
Last but not least, imagine if there had been 5 or 6 people with concealed carry permits and carrying in that mall. They might have stopped Junior before he managed to go out in a blaze of glory. It's funny, but down here, bad guys will rob banks, major chain convenience stores, etc, where people are forbidden to carry. Sometimes they even shoot and kill the complying, unarmed person with their hands up in the air. Many times it's just because they wanted to see what it was like to "off somebody." But go into a Pawn shop, where a couple of people are wearing pistols, or privately run family owned stores where they keep guns around, and see if they rob them. It happens every so often. One of the local thug heros will sache' into a pawn shop, yank out his roscoe and announce a hold up. He gets drilled 3 or 4 times by employees before he hits the floor, and saves the taxpayers thousands of dollars in court costs and jail expenses. Not to mention the other thugs sitting around on the corner afterwards saying, "oh yeah, now I remember; that's why we don't rob those places."
It happened here a few years ago, when Leroy the Robber decided he was gonna jack up the local family owned "stop-n-rob". You see he was on parole for previous armed robberies and figured the mom and pop store would be a real push over for a notorious bad guy with a gun. As he pulled the ski mask over his face, pulled out his sawed off smoke pole and walked in. Grandma, the 73 year old cashier, seeing he was up to no good, decided to slug his happy little *ss as he walked in the door. She had already had to do that twice to others about 8 years apart. Seems the local coneheads tend to forget about every 8 years or so and have to be reminded, that they aren't the only ones with guns. Funny though, none of the others in the hood decided it was worth trying to rob for several years. In fact, most would come in with their hat in their hand when they entered the store. Even most of the hoodlums can figure it out. When other people have guns, they ain't so easy to take advantage of. That Grandma was my great aunt. She and my Uncle will give you the shirt right off of their backs, and have given food and money away to folks in the area that needed help. But don't come in to rob, or Aunt Ethel or Uncle Vern will smoke your *ss. And Aunt Ethel totes a rod with 3 notches in the handle. Sorry for the novel, but I just had to tell that story.......

When I was over in Jolly Ole, the Bobbies (local cops) carried a 'whistle' and no guns! "Stop or I'll blow my whistle!" But that was many years ago before ppl became totally uncivilized to the British 'proper thing.' Do they carry guns now??? They'd better.....

When I was in Law Enforcement, I trained with some guys from Great Britian. They said that most patrol officers are unarmed, but after numerous officers got shot over the years, they decided to have several specifically trained Officers and Supervisors carry a 38 revolver, but they are highly restricted in their use. They also have "gun cars" where some patrol cars have rifles and handguns in them. If someone opens up on the cops, they keep their headsdown and call for the gun car to come to the location. They then "access the situation" and call for permission to get the guns out. After the Chief of Police, the mayor and everyone else down the line agrees that they may take out the guns, they may do so, but only with serious discretion.
Gee, I wonder what's happening to all of those poor suckers getting shot, while the Police are deciding if it's OK to use a gun. Pure Crap!!!
