I am in the middle of my CDL driving school right now. I have "pre-hires" from all the usual "big" companies that hire students in Wisconsin, but every once in a while through basically word of mouth, I find out about "small" companies that hire student drivers. I am hoping to maybe find that in a larger scale here on the forums. If anybody knows about any of these small companies that hire students, please post on this thread or pm me! Thanks! Been finding a wealth of information on here and it is pretty obvious to me that experiences truckers are normally more than willing to help out us new guys, we all truly appreciate it!!

I'm pretty sure V&S Midwest Carriers in Kaukauna WI hires students. Good luck to you, and stay safe!

Pretty difficult to give you any leads when you don't state where in WI you live. Another question would be if you are willing to relocate within the state of WI for a job.

SW Wisconsin, near WI Dells. No on relocation.

Not alot of tanker companies will hire students. Best bet is show up in person dressed well with resume in hand and present yourself well. With continuing shortage of drivers many companies are lowering their hiring standards and are now accepting applicants with less experience. Do not try and do it over the phone show up in person and present yourself well and you are more likely to have some success.
When you show up in person it proves that you are serious about pursuing a position and not just going thru the motions.
In your search you may also want to investigate pnuematic carriers along with liquid carriers. In the liquid carrier market look into food grade carriers which is non haz products. It maybe easier to get hired on hauling non haz products till you gain some experience pulling tanks.
You can use the following link to find companies close to your home or that have terminals close to you.

chipnbugs Thanks this. -
Windy Hill is out of Wisconsin. They also have a terminal in Florida. Really good small company to drive for! You can make good money there but you will run hard!
