    Hey yall,
Just put 8 new tires on my trailer. Firestone 455 s all around. Anyone have any experience with these? I got them put on cuz tge other ones were wearing down like crazy, also got an alignment done...
Total was 3200 what do you guys think price wise and tire quality? Any input would be appreciated...

It depends on the trailer. If its a spread axle they are OK. Spreads are hard to find a good tire that wears nice I've had luck with Michelin xza 3 in this area, as well as, cooper roadmaster which is cheaper. I've run Firestone on tandems and had a good experience, but on my spreads they cup funny. great price if that's mounted, if not then 3200 is about average.

I don't have a trailer but I would agree about Michelin xza3 lasting quite a long time.
We use them for steers and change once a year.
When we used cheaper tires they lasted three months. Hope that helps.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I have Continental HSR2 on my spread-axle flat and they are amazing. 65,000 miles and still look new with 18/32 left.

I put 4 on our 2002 GD reefer. They seem to be wearing about normal. $1600 OTD at the T/A in Fingham, IL.

That was an epic stop. Driver rolled in for a reefer battery and popped a trailer tire entering the lot. A second was also bad so elected to replace the whole row. I usually do caps on the trailer from my regular tire dealer but don't trust em at the truckstop so bought new. While the driver was inside settling the bill for the tires, the water pump on the reefer let go. Mad dash back to Carrier in E. St. Louis and all was well a few hours later.

When it rains it pours. OK deal on those tires tho LOL.

I just picked up 4 tires from a small tire guy. Price was 1600 installed. They are Good years. When I callled about firestones at Wentworth they wanted 505 plus installation a piece. I run a spread reefer so we will see how they wear. So far I have like 15-20k on them and no signs of wear yet.
